[img][/img] This is my first attempt at a career thread. With this career I hope to document Alanias toppling of the Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan giants, and then have a right good crack at the European big boys through time when i get the team more stable.I aim to do this by having a thourough look at the team as it has been...
Well this was not expected. When my agent called me and told me that Flora were offering me a position I had to go on [link name=Wikipedia]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Flora_Tallinn[/link]. No idea where they were, not even knowing the country they are based in. Finding out they...
After looking through many leagues in Football Manager I have decided on Belgium for my long term save, looking deeper into it I decided to go with Zulte Waregem, a club based in Waregem who were formed in 1950 officially but The club is a product of a partnership in 2001 between Zultse VV and KSV Waregem. This should be a interesting game and I am excited to see what I can produce. As many might know, Zulte Waregem somehow finished 2nd last season and were entered into the 3rd Qualifying round in the Champions League. A mid table team from Belgium with the chance of Champions league football.
here is my 1st story on here its with my team Bristol City in Sky Bet League One, my aim is to take them as far as I can which hopefully is the promise land hope you enjoy the journey as much as I will making it.
I arrived, standing at the luggage belt in Amsterdam airport I phoned for my taxi, a private taxi had been put on for me. It was not far to travel, Almere City is in the province of Flevoland just outside Amsterdam.
Arriving at the stadium I was impressed, a fairly new stadium and the facility’s looked good, walking though the door into reception it continued to impress. If the quality of the facility's were anything to go by, this was going to be a great club to be at. I had got the job after a interview at the training ground which Almere share with AFC Ajax which was fantastic...
I had done it, Finally I could sit back and relax. The kettle came to boil as I put the phone down, I was now a Football manager. It was John Bowler who had called me, the chairman of Crewe Alexandra, a club currently playing in the Sky Bet League One. Crewe are famous in England for developing young talent and selling on for good money, the club has never managed to hold on to the talent meaning they had never made major dents in the football world
My 1st day, walking from the car towards the big glass door entrance reserved for staff. All I kept thinking in my head is – This is so cool, I'm 26 and I'm a manager of the only professional club in the Welsh football system.
I walked in to reception, the lady behind the desk addressed me as if I was lost - Can I help you sir?
Erm... Yes, I'm Paul Wandless, the new Boss, pleased you meet you.
I sounded like a complete knob head, no confidence in my voice, one thing I know I need...
I finally could sit down and say “I am a football Manager”
The last few days have been crazy. After living in Norway for the past 10 years I was finally moving away. I was going to miss Norway and hoped to return one day. Growing up in England I never wanted to leave my home town, but as always in life, things change. People have been coming over to me all day as I did my shopping - Is it true Paul, are you going to Iceland?
“It is true, the chance of a lifetime came to me in the strangest way” I explained to Steven, the local butcher. I had walked in for some...
I'm going to run a blog much the same as I did for FM2012 - I posted the intro tonight and will start the blog proper in the next few days. If anyone is interested (or wants to look at the FM2012 effort), go to http://martinpalmerfm2013.blogspot.co.uk/
Adkins has been sacked from his managerial position at "Madejski Stadium" this morning. Adkins who had been only manager for five months before he was sacked. A YouTube series, which will hopefully lead onto a future in writing on the forums.
Hello everyone, my names Ryan for anyone who doesn't already know. Or is new to the website (like myself.) I've heard some fantastic reviews about the forums, and thought it would be highly beneficial for myself to make sure I got to the site before anyone i knew or potentially could know as the forums is getting more views and hopefully be reaching the heights and gaining even more publicity.
Right, back on track. This will be more avoided from a story in text format, it will be a commentary with video story. Which maybe can elaborate to become a story as well if...
After successive failures at major international tournaments for the England national team, The FA commissioned a group of the games best brains to

So they did, and here’s their dream.

Chairman Bill Kenwright decides enough is enough and gives David Moyes the boot.
"There are too many fans falling asleep in their seats during the games, we have become the most boring team to watch and I need to make a change in the management" Said Kenwright.
I have approached Vic Posher and asked him to take over the position and have given him full backing, including making any necessary transfers or releasing of any players.
After much consideration for the players and the next England Manager, Fabio Capello has decided to call it quits and has resigned his position as England manager effective immediately.
England fans have been very vocal regarding Capello's recent choices of players and this news...

Me - Sunderland, Dan - Villa and Pringers - Birmingham are all going to use this thread to post updates on our games such as transfers and results. If you want to take part just say and you can use this thread to. If you want to join maybe try going as a different team to us and we could try to get a full premiership league.

Blackpool owner Karl Oyston has been hit by a financial up raw and has had to leave Blackpool under mutual content. He says he will claim compensation but if Blackpool give him compensation they will go in further debt and will have to lose there sponsorship deal. Also it meant that Blackpool had to release all of there best players and have faced a transfer embargo. The only players who have agreed to stay on a low wage are Charlie Adam , Gary Taylor Fletcher , Craig Cathcart , DJ Campbell. During this period the EPL and FA agreed to allow them to pick a squad of free agents. Notable Free agents...
Part 2 of my insight into the managerial game and how I did in the non-league world
Hi all, before I start, a quick few points. Firstly I was absolutly delighted by all the positive comments I recieved in response to part 1. It looks like I won't even get away with not producing another part ha ha! So I hope you all enjoy reading this as much as the first part. Part 3 is hopefully on its way!!! Cheers
I could not choose - should I be disrespectful or should I chance it and risk the fans thinking I was taking the mickey of their club. Well it seemed I choose the wrong option indeed when I saw the headline of my email the next morning...
Remember those days where your legs still worked, you didn’t say ohhh my back every time you got up?
Then maybe you can remember the days when you stood at your local clubs ground as a child thinking to yourself I will play for these one day!
Well not me, I was a fat kid sat at home playing Football Manager being in charge of the players instead of running around getting kicked. So when I went to see my local team play, I always thought I can do better, and decide what I would do if I was in charge and we were losing 1-0.

On a cold Russian winter night, in the heart of Moscow, the owner of the team fondly known as the "Army Men", or for those of you not familiar with Russian football, CSKA Moscow, sat alone in his multi-million dollar home, contemplating his targets for a new manager to take his club forward into the 2013/2014 season.
He had watched his Army Men side progress past the EURO cup group stages for the season already, and had watched them also pick up the Russian title, but he now decided that was time for change and a new manager to lead the team to even bigger things.
Malmö Fotbollförening, also known simply as Malmö FF, is a professional football club based in Malmö, Scania, Sweden. Formed 1910, the club has won 16 national championship titles and 14 national cup titles, making them one of the most successful clubs in Sweden. Runners-up in the 1979 European Champions Cup final (which they lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest), the club was the first...
Days after Fabio Capello was fired Harry Redknapp has become England Manager. Redknapp belives England should have a English manager and feels he is capable enough to step up to the role. Redknapps first game in charge will be at Wembley against Hungary in a friendly.
A insight at the way football managers are treated and how it compares to football manager
Hi all, a quick message before I get on with my story. I just joined this group about an hour ago(!) and am very impressed with the whole site. Cheers to fmgeek for recommending this to me. May I please state this is only part 1, if I posted my whole story no one would read it as it's too long!! If I get any positive feedback I will post another part. Cheers
''Martin O' Niell has left the club by mutual consent'', ''Roy Hodgson has been sacked as manager of Liverpool'', ''Avrum Grant is to watch his last game in charge''.
Reports Today Have Shown Chelsea FC have gone into debt and Roman Abromovich has left the club. It is belived Roman has got into some serious gamberling debts and this is the cause of the incident. All first team players have had there contracts terminated due to them being unable to pay for there wages. Almost all of the staff have left except the few who have agreed to work for minimal pay.
It feels good to be back here. All the familiar surroundings of this famous old ground make me remember all the years I spent here, first of all as a child but also in my playing career. Some of the best days of my life were spent here, but to be brought in at this time is quite abrupt. I had faith in Roy, 40,000 of us did. 10,000 quickly lost it, and 30,000 were wondering why they should up week in week out.
I drove to Melwood nice and early, get acquainted with the place again. It's improved a whole lot since I was here, true top 4 potential, whatever the team on...
I have seen this a few times and always thought of trying it and now im going to. I have made myself 16 like real life and left all the stats to be genreated due to reputation. I have started with my player not at a club and will follow his career until he retires and then will manage the same clubs that he has played in during his career. I will hopefully do it in the same order but if one of them come avaliable and i get offered it i might take it but still manage the others. I will not manage teams if i was loaned there and played less then around 20-25 games.
Welcome and feel free to post this will be where by crewe save goes now from now on. I used fmrte to give my self a extra budget of about 3-6million as i set my target as promotion and a little extra wage budget.
I've never actually managed in Ligue One, so this is a nice opportunity to get used to it and maybe learn about the teams, players and the history. Like Tom has done, and after seeing this on another forum, I'd planned to start a game in the Premiership managing all 20 teams, but he'd beat me to it. So, I've decided to start it in Ligue One in France.
The Fight For The Title
The 2009/10 saw Marseille lift the title for the 9th time and the first since the 1991/92...
Tom has his Premiership game and Jelly said to do our own league so i thought ill take charge of the SPL. I will be managing every team from the spl theres also some good derbies in this league to.
Can Rangers hold on
Can Walter Smiths rangers side hold on to their league title and go for the treble league champions or can Celtic end their dominance of winning the league. Or even can a under dog head for the league title like Hibernian or Hearts or even Aberdeen. With not that much money in the spl it will be tight for teams to sign any one...
This story is something different from what I have done before. I will be controlling all 20 Premiership Teams and be in charge off Transfers, Tactics and Staff Changes. To Save there always being a essay I will post a Screenshot of each weeks results then do a write up on the Game of the week which I chose before each week. There will not be any unrealistic transfers so you won’t be seeing Drogba shipped off to Arsenal for £3Million but City will be spending big money to keep with real life and newly promoted teams will look for bargains from lower leagues and loans from bigger clubs. So here...
