Nearly halfway through my second season now. The squad is going very nicely but I think I need to replace Luke Young at left-back. Barcelona in the First Knockout Round of the Champions League too o:

Nice Dan, hope you find a good alternative, perhaps Joe Mattock from WBA?

Luke Young's past himself now, 32 and declining. I'm looking at two 16 year old regens at the moment that have about 4-star potential Smile

Cool Posh - can't wait to see some of your progress...I hope you do better than I have so far.

I've just entered the new year, so I thought I'll write a little bit about it.

When I took over I was given £15.5m to spend as I had chosen to get a top-half finish.

I quickly got under way, and sealed some nice transfers, and got rid of some of the deadwood.

But after the worst start I've ever experienced, I was anticipating the sack;

I will be hoping to continue on the little glimour of light I've had, and hope to move up the table a bit.

It's impossible for me to splash the remaining £10m - my wage budget is crazy, I have no room to maneouvure and to top it off, QPR have just knocked me out of the FA Cup.

Because it'd leave me with very little to improve the squad at my disposal - it's a lose-lose situation.

FMR Premier League game Wigan_athletic_new_badge

Breaking News:

Wigan Athletic have announced that Pringers has been appointed as the Latics new manager, after Spaniard Roberto Martinez was sacked, following Today's newspaper accusations that the manager was caught in a revealing situation with a hooker. Pringers will be charged with the challenge of keeping the Latics in the Premier League, and building on what has already been a successful Premier League career for Wigan.

Stay tuned as we bring you more on this breaking news story.

Laughing that's gutting - stupid crash dumps.

Sounds like a good challenge though - hopefully you can bring back some pride at Liverpool. Good luck! Smile

My Wigan one has been a bit hit and miss at the moment, we've lost two and won two in my first four games, so it's not too bad, and at least I've started better than I did at Birmingham Laughing

At Newcastle, here's how I'm doing; just started playing competitive games:

(H) 1-1 Chelsea - Andy Carroll scored a late equaliser for us; Chelsea had 72% of the possession Laughing

(H) 2-1 Sunderland - good win for us, the fans will have loved that against bitter rivals.

(A, League Cup 2nd round) 2-1 Sheff Wednesday - 1-0 down but fought back and Enzo Maresca (a new signing, in on a free transfer) scored the winner, his first for Newcastle. Hasn't taken him long to get on the scoresheet. I recommend him to anyone who is stuggling for money, he's a free agent at the start of the game.

I will need to get in on this tonight after I'm off work! I'll see what team I end up playing as.

As for the monkey doing better than Pringers.... I say we run a test on this! Who has a monkey we can borrow? Deebs?

As I recently resigned from the position of Staff Tea Boy, the monkey is now making the tea.

Strange as everyone says the Tea is much better now than when I made it.

We will put a laptop in the staff recreation room and see how the monkey does on FM.

Now all we have to do is name the monkey.

Hmmm, I see a vote starting shortly........................

Well, thought I'd give a little update on my progress at Blackpool.

I signed 5 players in the transfer window, I lost my first friendly at home to Bayern 6-1, then won the rest of my friendlies, all away, with a 6-0 win at Newport being the highlight.

I then proceeded to lose my first 2 league games at home, Bolton 2-0 and Chelsea 2-0. I was pretty disappointed with the Bolton game, as my team had the lion's share of possession and we played really well Sad

With the team on a low, the next game we won away in the league cup 2nd round to Watford, 2-1 after extra time. I'm hoping that'll give the team a boost going back into the league.

Screenshots later on tonight. Very Happy
