Subject: Unemployment Challenge 2010-11-09, 21:54
The aim of this challenge is, instead of taking control of a club/nation like you may normally do so; instead you will begin the game unemployed and your reputation should be set as Sunday league footballer. To become employed, you will need to apply for a job and accept a contract, this is more than likely to be from a non-league/lower league side. You will need to load up leagues from the following countries in Europe: England, Spain, Italy, France and Germany.
The aim is then to work your way up the divisions until you are managing one of the biggest clubs in Europe, those being the teams listed below:
England Arsenal Chelsea Manchester City Manchester United
France Lyon Marseille
Germany Bayern Munich Bayer Leverkusen Wolfsburg
Italy AC Milan Inter Milan Juventus Roma
Spain Barcelona Real Madrid Sevilla Valencia
Once manager of one those clubs, you have successfully completed the Unemployment Challenge!
Screenshots of your career will need to be uploaded for proof that the challenge has been completed legitimately and that you haven't taken control over any clubs.
Most is Copy-Pasted from another thread about the challenge, but it's all general stuff.

It is advised to load down that low, otherwise you won't be able to get a job, you're allowed to load as far down as you want and as many leagues/countries as you like.

I started this challenge and it took me 5 hours real time, 219 game days to finally get a contract with Skarp from the Norwegian second division group 4.

Manchester United here I come
*Update*
Well, after using Posh's excellent database, I applied for all the managerial vacancies :
I wonder if any of them will accept me
*further update*
Well, out of all the replies I chose Cadbury Athletic, who, amazingly, have offered me a £0 contract on zero years. LOL.

Well my little FA cup run is still going well, knocked out Burgess Hill and then Chesham to advance to the First Round proper, was hoping for a nice payday against a L1 side but got a home game against Cambridge.
Still, there is a good chance that I can get by them and continue the run.
I got 12,500 for beating Chesham, that pays my players wages for 6 months so not too shabby.

After starting the challenge I soon got offered quite a few jobs from the low Norweigan sides and I started my career with Gjovik FF. Their team was made up of youth players around 17 and were all horrible so I moved every player into the B Team and started from scratch.
I had around £6k p/w left of a £7k p/w wage budget and players were available for around £100 p/w so I had room for the players.
Here are my transfers:
22 players in total
Here's the player I'm most looking forward to see playing, although I have a bunch of quality players:

Well, after a reasonably decent season, abysmal performance in both cups though, I have quit Cadbury Athletic for Coleshill, who are one league above Cadbury. I reached 2nd with Cadbury, and in my opinion, was the right time to go for the challenge.

So I am still plodding along with my game, up next was the FA Cup at home to Fulham.
Knowing I had no chance, I started the match at 4-2-3-1 defensive just to try and stop Fulham from scoring, and went to get some dinner, came back at half time and the game was 0-0
Surprised and now excited I made a couple of changes, one sub and switched my R/L mids. On with the second half, I was losing possession really badly but restricting Fulham to long shots.
Getting down to the final mins and I am parking the bus, going for a draw and the dreams of a big gate at Fulham to fill my coffers.
When out of the blue Daniel Robinson my 22 yr old part timer (with a 5 attribute for long shots) rockets in a screamer past the bewildered Schwarzer.
Holding on in the final few to gain a historic win.
As you can see by the stats I should have been thrashed but that's why we love this funny old game of football.

I'm leaving Skarp. They just don't care about the sport anymore and I don't care for the club either. Wish me luck getting a new job, by the way 7 loses in a row making losing record is too much knowing you're players can do twice more than what they are doing.

Great work Posh, amazing victory there and it will bring in some extra money which im sure your going to need.
Bad luck Sato you need a huge stick to whack the players with to make sure they are doing there all. Good luck getting a new job though
I got 68,000 quid for beating Fulham, my monthly wage bill is 2700 so its going to go a long way, now I can see if I can get a couple of better midfielders as my board said I can have a bigger wage/transfer budget.

This is my new team. I got hired mid season so even though the form is bad so far I won't be judge by it. Board is only judging me in maintaining the budget and the good players

Now you'll get to see our great quality football, and I have to say, Dungannon Swifts are one of my favoured teams in the league, simply because of their name, it's too cool!
Apart from that, good luck
