| What Would You Do?
Now I thought I'd post this here to get some audience participation.
Here's my dilemma. I'm managing England using Posh's Legends database. I want to be able to fit in players like Rooney, Lineker, Greaves, Matthews, Charlton & Gerrard in the same team.
Being a fan of attacking football (more Keegan than Ardiles), I'd love to have 2 strikers, 2 wide men with Gerrard/Charlton in the AM role.
If I do that, should I have 3 at the back, which enables me to have 2 DM's? (just like WG's 3-2-2-1-2)
Or do I stick with 4 at the back and just 1 DM?
Does 1 DM and 2 wide men, leave me open a bit defensively?
Would WG's 3-2-2-1-2 work with the 2 central midfielders out wide?
So what are your thoughts? Don't be shy, just put your two-penneth in as I'm interested in your opinions |

| I guess it depends on 1) how good the DMs are and 2) the individual instructions you are giving your players. |

| Agree. I think you can get away with it depending on your DM's. Barry and Parker back there would be excellent. I had switched tactics during a couple of games (because of injuries) with wide players like SWP and Lennon and it didn't seem to have any issues with losing out in midfield. As long as they are quick and can cover back into the middle of the park I think you will be OK. However, I don't see how you can have Charlton, Mathews, Gerrard & Rooney all starting unless you stick Rooney in the RB position. By the way, Rooney is brilliant at RB |

| Thought Rooney could sort out the half-time pies.
Bad enough fitting these players in, but what happens when Finney and Bloomer develop, and who do I choose as captain, Moore? Wright?
And Capello thinks he has a hard job.
Btw, I had planned to alternate Gerrard and Lampard as DM alongside Barry. |

Btw, I had planned to alternate Gerrard and Lampard as DM alongside Barry. Never found Gerrard to be any good as a DM, his tackling and marking is not good enough (IMHO). Captain will be a tough one, although think longer term and these "new" lads will be still around after Lamps and Stevie G have retired. I am guessing you don't have Terry as El Capitan then ? |
