FM14 has certain files that prevent you from managing certain national teams and from current real players showing up in their rosters due to licensing issues.

The national teams with the problem:

• Germany
  
• China
  
• South Korea
  
• Japan
  

How to fix
Fixing this is relatively simple, but the effects will only apply to games you have created after fixing it.

Go to:


Windows
Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ football manager 2014 \ data \ db \ 14xx \ lnc \ all

Mac
[username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps >common > football manager 2014 > data > db > 14xx > lnc > all

Here you will find 3 or more files:

• fake.lnc
  
• lic_dan_swe_fra.lnc
  
• nleague.lnc.
  
  

Simply delete these files before you create a new game.


Remove the files from patches with data updates as well

Official data updates (patches with data updates, not all patches) contain these files too, so if your game has been patched then you will have to delete the files again in the relevant update folder.

For example if your FM14 gets updated with a patch that includes data update go to:

Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ football manager 2014 \ data \ updates \ update-14XX \ db \ 14XX \ lnc \ all

Mac
[username] > library > Application support > Steam > steamapps > common > football manager 2014 > data > updates > update-14XX > db > 14XX > lnc > all

Theirs no down load you just have to delete files listed above and in updates too
